The perfect starting point for winter sports enthusiasts

Ried im Zillertal is your ideal starting point for winter activities. Thanks to its location in the middle of the Zillertal, you can easily reach all ski areas in the Zillertal. From the slopes to the piste: Our ski area in the neighboring village, Ski-Optimal Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach, is considered one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Alps. A paradise for piste hunters, with a large selection of blue, red and black pistes, but there are also popular unprepared ski routes for off-piste adventurers. It is well worth going on a discovery tour with a private ski guide. Excellent huts in the ski area round off the winter experience perfectly.

					Stunning view from room. Enjoyed the sauna and the cold pool. Initially booked breakfast only but ended up eating every dinner because the food was amazing. Three course at €30 is definitely worth it. Free popcorn and play area for kids.

					Fantastic hotel for skiing, wellbeing, great food and relaxation. We loved every minute. Highly recommended. For skiiers there is a skibus directly opposite the hotel which picks up from 8.15am each morning and takes you the short journey to Hochzillertal's main gondola. You can buy your ski-pass for the entire region directly at the hotel desk. If you need ski-hire, there's a decent place (Hartl) around the corner. And of course, ski storage and heated boot rack. Beyond the skiing we really enjoyed the swimming pool, which is a decent size and also features loungers with gorgeous views of the snowy backdrop. Saunas, steam-room etc. also available. Everything you need to give your body some recovery after a hard day on the slopes. We went half-board and were not disappointed. Breakfasts were really satisfying, particularly with omelettes and eggs cooked fresh in front of you. Evening meals were good quality and well varied each night. We really enjoyed the food and it surpassed our expectations of half-board at a hotel. We were really thankful to have this on site as we didn't see much in the way of restaurants in the immediate area.

					Very nice hotel. SWEET view from the top sauna. Cold swimming pool outside to cool off from the bottom sauna. Very good breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff and superb host Markus! Cocktails are also very well made.

					Everything during the week was perfect - breakfast, rooms, sauna, dinners and commute to key ski resorts. We definitely will be coming back! Great hospitality and excellent experience.

					Zeer mooi hotel,oog voor detail. Heel propere kamers. Lekker afwisselende kaart,uitgebreid ontbijt. Zelfs keuze uit vegan en vegetarische opties zowel bij ontbijt als avondeten. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Een goede uitvalbasis voor verschillende skigebieden.Wij komen terug!

					The best family hotel for ski lovers in Zillertal. The hotel is very clean, the food is delicious , the design of the hotel is very nice, colourful. Our Children loved the games corner in the basement. The ski bus stops in the front of the hotel and there is a very comfortable access to ski room from the bus station. Kaltenbach is only 5 minutes away from the  hotel with the bus which travels every 30 minutes.
